HISTORY

DRESDA was founded in the early 1960s by British engineer and racer Dave Degens, who set out to build motorcycles that outperformed factory machines. Best known for the DRESDA Triton—a hybrid of the Norton Featherbed frame and Triumph twin engine—Degens elevated the café racer into a true performance machine. His 1965 victory at the Barcelona 24-Hour Endurance Race on a DRESDA Triton proved the potential of custom engineering and cemented the brand’s reputation.

Beyond the Triton, DRESDA Engineering produced custom frames and motorcycles using a variety of engines, all hand-built and tailored for speed, handling, and durability. With roots in racing and craftsmanship, DRESDA became a symbol of the British café racer movement and remains a respected name in motorcycle history, with original builds now prized by collectors around the world.

Today, DRESDA is run by Guy Fithen and Russell Vann, who continue to uphold the brand’s legacy of precision engineering and performance-focused custom motorcycles.
