Reduction in weight
We changed the valves on this Matchless and saved over 50% of the weight. Conventional springs replaced the monstrosity shown here but we also reduced the diameter of the valve stem. Lighter valves and less springs mean more power and less wastage.

Valves are our current special interest. These valves are from the Vincent and show that the stem thickness is around half of what it was. This means its much lighter and needs less power sapping valves and will rev higher and freer,
