Rocker Box problems
During the strip down of the engine it was found that the rocker boxes had small cracks.

During 1972 Triumphs were in transition from older style rocker boxes to newer design. BUT they had strange way of fixing the rockers to the head and as a result it was very easy to crack the rocker boxes.
